Presented at the New York State Builders show Empire State Plaza Convention Center Albany NY September 11, 2008 June 1, 2006 – Spirit of Teddi Humanitarian AwardPhilip J. Nanula, president of Essex Homes was awarded the "Spirit of Teddi Humanitarian Award" for his outstanding support of Camp Good Days & Special Times. Once again, with donations from their sub-contractors and suppliers, Essex Homes is managing the construction of a third "Dream House" to benefit Camp Good Days! The two previous Dream House projects of 2003 and 2005 rose over $270,000 for Camp Good Days enabling the completion of much needed renovations including the Camp’s Infirmary. Over 80 businesses donated and participated in these capital projects. "This is an enormous undertaking on Mr. Nanula’s and Essex Homes' part," said Lisa Donato, Regional Director of Camp Good Days, "We are in awe of his generosity and the support from each sub-contractor and supplier. Camp Good Days is beyond grateful for all the time, labor and talent everyone has put in to get this project off the ground."

Nanula, president of Essex Homes was awarded the "Spirit of Teddi Humanitarian Award" for his outstanding support of Camp Good Days & Special Times. This prestigious award is named after Teddi Mervis, the daughter of Gary Mervis, Camp Good Days' Chairman and Founder. Gary started Camp Good Days in 1979 in honor of Teddi, who passed away from a malignant brain tumor. Phil Nanula also received the Humanitarian Award in November of 2005, from the Buffalo Niagara Builders Association for his admirable generosity and charitable contributions throughout Erie and Niagara County. The combined net proceeds between this year and 2003 exceeded $270,000.
January 1, 2003 - Camp Good Days Dream House Project 2003 – Amherst's French LandingIn 2003, the first DREAMHOUSE project netted more that $170,000 for Camp Good Days and helped support a new dining hall and heated dormitory facility. This enabled Camp Good Days to provide its programs all year round.
